Tuesday Nov 24, 2020
Tuesday Nov 24, 2020
On this episode I chatted with Matthew Myers about the city of Edmond and its new interactive art pieces, installed this fall. When Edmond’s largest interactive art piece was installed at the Festival Marketplace, it not only marked our 235th public art installation, but also a new business trend. Interactive art is engaging visitors and citizens to stay downtown longer. Interactive art lures people from outside the area to eat in our restaurants, shop in our stores and create experiences that make them want to come back again and again. This is Redbird Farm
Friday Nov 20, 2020
Friday Nov 20, 2020
For this episode I drove up to Enid Oklahoma to chat with Kent and Becky about their 14 acres farm. Located on the north side of Enid the Redbird Farm is visible from the highway. You cant miss it. The gorgeous farm house next to an iconic red barn. The front of house for their business. Kent and Becky started a Christmas tree farm 6 years ago and have been adding little workshops and events to the schedule ever since. You will be able to pick strawberry's and Blackberrys in the spring, workshops from flower arranging to butchering a chicken. Becky's goal is to teach you skills that have been lost between generations. Making us more independent and less dependent on technology, electricity and all sorts.

This is Lovera's - Handcrafting Italian Foods Since 1946
Saturday Nov 14, 2020
Saturday Nov 14, 2020
On this episode I chatted with Dominica Lovera about her families history. Coming to America from Italy in 1910 to now having one of the best cheese and meat markets in the country. Award winning!
"At Lovera's, our focus has always been on quality. Each of our products is crafted with thought and consideration and with the desire and passion to bring quality Italian foods to the tables of each of our customers.
For over 60 years, our family has been making and selling hand-crafted Italian foods. We settled in 1907, bringing family recipes and the distinct flavors from the mountains of Piemonte to the plains of Oklahoma, and we are still family owned and operated to this day.
We are proud of how our little store has evolved, and how we have paid homage to our ancestors by pairing old family recipes with new age techniques. Our shelves are stocked with award-winning cheeses, sausages, and some of the world's best olives, antipasti, olive oils, vinegars, and other Italian imports.
We hope we can offer you something that brings your family and friends together, that provides laughter and love, and reminds you what family dinners are all about. Dalla nostra famiglia alla vostra. (From our family to yours)"
