This is Art Fusion Studio with Tracy & Rick Bewley
Saturday May 08, 2021
Saturday May 08, 2021
On this episode I chatted with local artists Tracy & Rick about their journey to opening up Art Fusion Studio.
About: We are mixed media artists and have been collaborating together as Art Fusion Studio for about 19 years. We enjoy working in many materials including glass, metal, wood and acrylic fabrication. We are a husband and wife team with different and complementary abilities that allow us to design and fabricate very unique art.
We are both drawn to mixing materials that highly contrast each other, like glass and concrete, or acrylic and rusted steel. This dichotomy of these materials leads you to examine each more closely, to notice the natural blend of colors in the rust and the complexity of reflections on a polished surface. In particular we love to include an element of transparency by creating openings or adding glass, so that lighting, natural or otherwise, becomes an important part of the sculpture. The transparency also adds depth as the layers of construction are revealed and the landscape on the other side becomes a part of the design.

In the small town of Shady Point, Oklahoma sits a cozy cabin that tourists and locals flock to for Hal’s homemade jerky.
Since 1984, Hal has seasoned his jerky to perfection, and he decided to share it with the rest of the world in 2011 by opening his own business.
From flavors like garlic pepper to teriyaki available in-store, online, and at our drive-through, it’s no wonder we’ve built a base of loyal customers over the years.

Monday Apr 26, 2021
Monday Apr 26, 2021
On this episode I chatted with Tabitha about her families crate business and how it came about. Fascinating story, I love hearing the ways businesses are started and this one is up there!!
There story begins in 2019 when dad Patrick Taylor ruptured his disc while remodeling homes and needed back surgery. We knew his days of heavy construction were over. But Patrick still dreamed of building things. One day, he surprised our family with a rustic, hand-stained wooden sofa table that was also a crate for our dogs Cooper and Daisy. He had replaced our ugly wire crate with a spacious, luxurious home that blended into our décor.

Thursday Apr 22, 2021
Thursday Apr 22, 2021
On this episode I chatted with Eddie Radosevich. Staff writer/Videographer for Sooner Scoop and Franchise Sports Radio Morning Show. Eddie has a brilliant sense of humor. All of which you can see for yourself on his twitter account. But Eddie isn't all comedy. He's loves his Sooners and knows more about sports than anyone else I know of. Which isn't saying much because I don't know many sports writers. But from what I can gather he's pretty good at what he does. Eddie tells us how he got into radio, how his time at OU and ESPNU helped mould his skills into the work he does today.

Tuesday Apr 20, 2021
Tuesday Apr 20, 2021
On this episode I chatted with Rico Smith founder of 46th State Candle Company. Rico is born and raised in OKC. He developed a love of politics from a young age and set his heart on that profession, to make a change in the world. Rico studied at OCCC before transferring into OU. Graduated with a Political Science degree and then packed his bags for GW in Washington. Rico developed his interest in candles after needing to make his apartment his own. He had his Oklahoma set work hung on the walls but nothing really smelled like home. So in his spare time he developed fragrances, researched towns, festivals and all the great things that make the small towns in Oklahoma so great. Like to Watermelons in Rush Springs. "Watermelon capitol of the world!" After a few more years of work and studying Rico decided to return to Oklahoma and launch 46th State Candle Company on statehood day in 2019.
