This is Stonecloud Brewing with Joel Irby
Saturday Jun 26, 2021
Saturday Jun 26, 2021
On this episode I chatted with owner of Stonecloud Brewing Joel Irby. Joel has a great story. He left Oklahoma for Colorado to study and fell in love with craft beer and the mountain life. After graduating Joel took a job at a brewery and dove into his passion. 9 years later he returned to OKC with an opportunity to occupy a historic building and open his own taproom.
"Our name draws inspiration from the huge skies where endless mountains melt into clouds on the horizon. This might seem odd considering the fact that we are smack in the middle of the flatlands in Oklahoma City, but our founder Joel Irby (an Oklahoma native) spent 10 years perfecting his brewing craft at breweries in Boulder, Colorado. The urge eventually hit to open up his own spot, and with Oklahoma City’s recent growth and proximity to family it was the perfect place to make this dream a reality. We opened our doors in the summer of 2017."

This is Tracy Furr - Augusto's Green Sauce
Monday Jun 21, 2021
Monday Jun 21, 2021
On this episode I chatted with Tracy about her spicy green sauce.
"Augusto and I always enjoyed cooking together for our families and trying out new things for each other to try. About 13 years ago we were in the kitchen together and Augusto said, "Tracy try this new sauce I made". It was very good. Nice and creamy with a spicy kick! Everyone who tasted it said, "you should bottle this".
About seven years ago we entered a contest in Ft. Worth, Texas called the "Fiery Food Challenge". We had no idea what we were doing or what our business name was at the time. We slapped "Augusto's Green Sauce" on the label and entered the contest. We won first place out of 834 contestants, for 3 years in a row! Let's just say the "green sauce" business took off from there!!!
Thank you for your interest in Augusto's Green Sauce and our other products. We look forward to hearing your suggestions and ideas on how you use the green sauce."

Wednesday Jun 09, 2021
Wednesday Jun 09, 2021
On this episode I chatted with Tulsa native Garrett Mills. Garrett played football for Jenks Highschool before committing to TU where his father played. His Junior / Senior year he realized that the NFL was a possibility and set his sights on the draft. Drafted by The Patriots Garretts NFL career had begun. After years in the league and a few different teams Garrett decided it was time to step away.
He was accepted into the Kellogs School of Management and after graduating moved to Dallas to work for Goldman Sachs. Not enjoying his job as much as he thought, his friend and founder of RibCrib offered him the opportunity to move back to Tulsa and work for them.
Garrett is now the CEO of RibCrib, in his time they have launched a new concept called Society Burger and plan to launch a Taco concept soon. Navigating the pandemic was a challenge but Garrett pulled form his years in the NFL under great and bad leaders to know what he should and shouldn't do.

This is Sweet Spirit Foods
Monday Jun 07, 2021
Monday Jun 07, 2021
On this episode I chatted with Calyn Adams and Mrs Janee Jacobs about their business Sweet Spirit Foods. These ladies have a passion that burns so deep. A business created to raise money for their church and love for their community.
Sweet Spirit Foods was established in July of 2002 under the vision and leadership of Dr. Jayel Jacobs Jr., Pastor of the Christian Life Missionary Baptist Church and the administrative direction of the late Mrs. Joyce Jacobs and Janee. It began with a Snowie building at 4621 NE 23rd Street. Later, mobile food trucks were added which made food deliveries all over the metropolitan area of Oklahoma City. Our first restaurant was opened in Langston, Oklahoma. The Sweet Spirit Foods family soon multiplied and at one time we had four mobile food trucks, four snowie buildings, two restaurants, a convenience store and a car wash. Our product line started with mild, medium and hot barbecue sauce. We now have 80 products carried under the Sweet Spirit Foods label. Our products have become family favorites all across the country. We have acquired loyal customers through local and out of state craft shows, state fairs, Farmers Markets, grocery store demos and even going door to door.
We are truly grateful to the following stores: Walmart, Sam's Clubs, Ace Hardware Westlakes, Mardels and Atwoods. Some of these stores have been faithful in allowing us to hold fund raisers in front of their establishments and we have been blessed by them giving back to the community.
We're on the shelves of prominent grocery stores like Crest Foods, convenience stores, specialty shops, various restaurants and in the homes of thousands of Sweet Spirit customers throughout the United States and overseas. We want to be a blessing to others. That's the bottom line. That's why volunteers at Christian Life Missionary Baptist Church sell our barbecue sauce, Sweet Spirit Foods' Best. The profits we earn are helping people and helping our church. "Let the Spirit Catch You!"

This is Lance Lang - Hope Is Alive
Saturday Jun 05, 2021
Saturday Jun 05, 2021
On this episode I chatted with Lance about HIA and what the plan is for its future. In October 2012, Lance founded Hope is Alive Ministries (HIA) in Oklahoma City. Under Lance’s leadership, HIA has grown from one home and five residents to 21 homes with over 200 residents working hard to radically change their lives. HIA’s success rate is unheard of, with over 85% of all graduates successfully living the life God called them to live.
What is HIA?
A program in which 100% of our graduates are still sober for the rest of their lives, where we have homes all across the United States in which our graduates lead these programs, and lead men/women to long term sobriety each and every day.
Where our men/women have changed the face of recovery worldwide. Where each of our graduate’s stories have been told thousands of times, written about and followed by other men/women like an instruction manual to radical life change.
The Hope is Alive Program is a responsible for millions of months of sobriety, and thousands of lives saved. We will redefine the way people get and stay sober. We will radically change the way, on a basic level, humans interact with each other, always offering grace and kindness, but not backing down on holding others accountable.
