On this episode I chatted with base player Mat Maxwell. Mat is currently on tour with Luke Combs and just played their last gigs of this year in OKC. Mat grew up in Tishomingo Oklahoma and spent 15 years in Tulsa learning, playing and working in a music store before moving to Nashville.

"Mat Maxwell is an American musician with over a decade of studio and international touring experience. Having performed alongside some of music’s biggest names, he has developed a reputation for being a go-to player in the industry. Mat is a multi-instrumentalist with a breadth of knowledge in many genres. Bass is his primary but he is also a deft guitarist and pianist. When not touring or in a session he enjoys educating and consulting — sharing his experience and knowledge gained over many years in the industry."

On this episode I chatted with Sheamekah Williams about mental health in Oklahoma and the mobile crisis teams around the state. As administrator of behavioral health services for ODMHSAS, she oversees and coordinates all aspects of behavioral health services for children, youth, young adults, and families across the state. Ms. Williams has overseen Oklahoma’s System of Care (OKSOC) expansion from a 17-county program serving children ages 5-18, to a statewide program serving individuals ages 0-25 across all of Oklahoma’s 77 counties. Through her leadership, the OKSOC has grown exponentially, with enrollment increasing over 1000% during her tenure. She has been the driving force behind strengthening and expanding the OKSOC – most notably, establishing mobile crisis response statewide – and building partnerships across child-serving systems including education, child welfare and juvenile justice.

Dr. Karl Hansen graduated from Northwest Classen High School and currently serves as a professor andJames A. Merrill Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. Having developed a robust Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility program, Dr. Hansen's research efforts have focused on women's reproductive aging process and on improving outcomes for couples with unexplained infertility. Nurtured by a loving mother who taught math in the
Putnam City school system, Dr. Hansen’s love for education developed early and now, as a nationally recognized researcher, teacher and lecturer, he continues to invest in the next generation of physicians.

On this episode I chatted with local business owners Carl and Tracey about their OKC franchise Scout and Mollys. Tracey spent 30 years as aa delivery nurse. Carl on the other hand still works full-time, he went to business school and they've always had the dream to own their own business. After researching ideas Scout and Mollys came across the table and they decided to jump right in. On tis episode I chatted to Alan and Jennifer about their love for Oklahoma Gravel and cycling in general. Alan is from Belfast and the two met when he spent a summer in school at OCU. Playing soccer while Jennifer attended the dance school it was meant to be. We talk about how they both found cycling and how it helped them through some pretty tough times.
