Ann is a math wiz and lover of latin. Burns once ran for governor. Before becoming president of Oklahoma State they were ready to slow down and enjoy life of retirement. On this episode I chatted with Thomas Hill III. He is Chief Executive Officer of Kimray. As the grandson of Kimray’s founder, Garman Kimmell, Thomas grew up around Kimray. He has worked at the company in virtually every department, giving him an intimate knowledge of the processes and people involved from start to finish. Thomas manages the family-owned company with a sense of stewardship and heritage.
Thomas is also author of the book Recovering Leadership: Musings of an Additional Leader. where he shares his personal story of advancing in leadership at Kimray, spinning out of control, and the long and difficult road of recovery that transformed his life and leadership. He also writes weekly "Monday Musings" on various leadership topics.

On this episode I chatted with Ali Khalafalla who is an Egyptian Olympic swimmer. He represented his country at the 2016 Rio Olympics and 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He placed 23rd in the 50 Freestyle, in Rio 2016. In Tokyo 2020, he placed 24th in the same event. A feat that has never been accomplished in Egypt's history.
After breaking the Egyptian record that stood strong for 22 years, he set a new Egyptian record in California in 2017 which paved the way to become the fastest Egyptian swimmer in Egypt's history with a time of 22.12. He further took Egypt's sprint swimming further after he clocked his personal best in Tarragona, Spain at the 2018 Mediterranean Games. Thus becoming the first and only Egyptian to break the 22 second barrier in the 50 freestyle with a time of 21.97 seconds. in 2021, the best time and Egyptian record in the 50 meters freestyle was lowered and currently stands at 21.94.

On this episode I chatted with Dre McKee who is director of marketing for USA Softball. Dre grew up playing softball and accepted a scholarship to play college softball at Oklahoma State. We talked about the home of Softball in the country, the NCAA Women's College World Series and the pending Olympics coming back to the states in 2028. Hopeful to have softball in the Olympics in LA.

On this episode I chatted with Larry Nichols, an Oklahoman who has made quite the impact on our state.
Oklahoma native J. Larry Nichols was born and raised in Oklahoma City and graduated from Casady School (1960) before receiving his geology degree from Princeton University (1964) and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Michigan (1967). Nichols served as a Special Assistant to Assistant Attorney General William Rehnquist in the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. and was a Law Clerk to Chief Justice Earl Warren and Justice Tom Clark of the U.S. Supreme Court. He co-founded Devon Energy Corporation with his father, John, in 1970 and was named president of the company in 1976 and chief executive officer in 1980. He has served on many community boards including the OKC Chamber of Commerce, Allied Arts, Oklahoma Foundation for the Humanities, Casady School, and Mercy Health Center. Among his honors are the Dean A. McGee Award (1997) and the Independent Petroleum Association’s Leadership Award (1997).

On this episode I sat with former Governor of Oklahoma Frank Keating. Frank grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and a law degree from the University of Oklahoma.
His 30-year career in law enforcement and public service included service as an FBI agent, U.S. Attorney and state prosecutor, and Oklahoma House and Senate member, including service as a Republican senate leader. He served Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush in the Treasury, Justice, and Housing departments.
As Governor, Keating won national acclaim in 1995 for his compassionate and professional handling of the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal building in Oklahoma City. In the aftermath of the tragedy, he raised more than six million dollars to fund scholarships for the nearly 200 children left with only one or no parents.
Keating currently serves as a regent for the University of Oklahoma and lives with his wife Cathy in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They have three children and eleven grandchildren.
