On this episode I chatted with base player Mat Maxwell. Mat is currently on tour with Luke Combs and just played their last gigs of this year in OKC. Mat grew up in Tishomingo Oklahoma and spent 15 years in Tulsa learning, playing and working in a music store before moving to Nashville.

Having performed alongside some of music’s biggest names, he has developed a reputation for being a go-to player in the industry. Mat is a multi-instrumentalist with a breadth of knowledge in many genres. Bass is his primary but he is also a deft guitarist and pianist.
